Happy first day of summer!
I think summer is really trying hard to be in full swing, but honestly, I am ready for this rain to go. I don't know about you, but it's making the mosquitoes at our house the size of pterodactyls. You would think we had some sort of Jurassic Park-esque experiment going on here. I think a T-Rex might be less vicious at this point.
Growing up in Boothbay Harbor, the pivotal event that indicated summer was afoot was Windjammer Days. It also meant that Anna and Hal, my second cousins, would be up to visit my Aunt Marilyn and we would all have a week of fun together with our grandmothers. I am so excited that it's next week and there are so many fun events for kids- I get to re-live my childhood again! You can check them all out here- each day has the events listed, I put a star beside all that are family friendly, but included them all in case parents can get a night away!
While you are there be sure to visit some of the great local businesses that support the community!
If anyone wants to see some adorable tiny dancers, Saturday at 6 p.m. my tiny dancer will be performing in her dance recital at Morse 🙂 Tickets are $12 at the door. She can't wait!
I hope that everyone has a great weekend!
