My kids and my husband love to go out to breakfast on a weekend morning and we often venture to Brunswick or Topsham.
Who doesn't love going out and having someone cook an awesome breakfast for them??
I am! So I've rounded up my family's choices for the top four breakfast spots in the Brunswick & Topsham, ME area, along with the reasons that my family loves them. I've listed them in alphabetical order:
Blueberries Food & Drink
4 Bowdoin Mill Island Topsham, ME 04086
207-725-5100
Hours: CLOSED on Mondays, Tues.- Fri. 7 a.m.-2 p.m., Sat. & Sun. 8 a.m.- 2 p.m.
What we love: Blueberries is such an awesome place! From delicious specials, homemade baked goods and terrific menu items, you can't go wrong! They have lots of creative egg dishes, pancakes and more! It has fun artwork of the walls and is a cheerful space. It isn't a huge space and is very popular so be prepared to wait during the weekend or summer. It's worth it!
Kopper Kettle
7 2nd St. Topsham, ME 04086
(207) 725-2724
Hours: M-F- 6 a.m.- 2 p.m., Sat & Sun 6 a.m.- 1 p.m.
What we love: I have been coming to the Kopper Kettle since I was a kid, so it's nostalgic to now be taking my kids there. It's an affordable breakfast place with great food, homemade muffins and baked goods (try a cinnamon roll or grilled blueberry muffin!)- plus they always have some interesting specials. It can be VERY busy on the weekends, but they tend to get you in and out relatively quickly. It's a laid back casual place- perfect to take the kids!
Union Street Bakery
40 Union St. Brunswick, ME 04011
(207) 844-1800
Hours: Mon.- Fri- 7 a.m.- 3 p.m. Sat 8 a.m.- 3 p.m., Sun CLOSED
What we love: Usually by the time we get to Union Street Bakery it's lunchtime (and if it's lunchtime when you get there try the Veggie Reuben) but we have always loved their breakfast sandwiches and quiche. However, if we are being really honest, their chocolate chip cookies are some of the best ever! You can't go wrong with any of their desserts. It's a cheerful, cozy space with tables and a comfy couch and chairs. In the summer it has a few street side tables.
Wild Oats
149 Maine St. Brunswick, ME 04011
(207) 725-6287
Hours: Mon-Sat- 7 a.m.- 5 p.m., Sun 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
What we love: Wild Oats has always been a popular spot in Brunswick and has been one of my favorites since I first went there as young teen. They have great breakfast sandwiches and quiche (they always have several choices), plus lots of different salads to go, soups and sandwiches- plus frozen meals to take home. Then if your sweet tooth is tempting you they have amazing baked goods! They have lots of seating inside and outside, parking can be tricky sometimes.
We also LOVE Sea Dog for lunch or dinner and have heard great things about their Sunday brunch buffet, we just haven't had a chance to try it yet!
